💫 Full Circle Moment: Lauren Hawkins to Speak at the 2025 Player Development Summit
The student becomes the one who teaches. So excited for this.
This one is personal.
This one is powerful.
Lauren Hawkins will be speaking at the 2025 Player Development Summit, and I couldn’t be more proud—or more excited.
I met Lauren back in 2019, when she was a student at the University of Kansas and I was serving as Director of Player Development. I needed a student intern. Lauren answered the call—and she didn’t stop there.
She went from intern, to assistant, to helping lead the entire program when I transitioned to Baylor. And let me be clear: Beyond the Field doesn’t happen without Lauren Hawkins.
From KU to Arkansas — and Still Rising
Lauren has been with me through some of the most formative moments of my career. Her fingerprints are on the foundation of this very Summit. And now, she’s continuing her journey, bringing that same excellence to the University of Arkansas, where she’s impacting lives daily.
At this year’s Summit, she’ll join the panel “Leading When You’re Not the Director,” moderated by Faith Gurdon—another powerful voice in the space. And you better believe I’ll be locked in and listening to every word.
Lauren knows player development. She’s lived it. Built it. Supported it. Led it. And now she’s sharing what she’s learned.
You Need to Be in the Room
If you want to hear from someone who’s risen through the ranks, who’s put in the work, and who knows the heart behind this space—Lauren Hawkins is that speaker.
“Support, leadership, humility, excellence—she’s been all of that and more. And now she’s ready to pour into you.”
