Is Player Development NEEDED in High School?
Absolutely! As a former high school Coach, if we had a program in place, it would have been super beneficial.
There are 1.04 million HS football players and only 7.8% will play college football.
So, what about the 92.2% of HS football players who won't?
Now playing college football doesn't solve the need for player development immediately, but there are resources and individuals at that level who are in position to help.
When I was a high school Coach, I noticed our players who were on college campuses were exposed to more conversations around topics which fall under player development.
